 All American Soap Box Derby: The Greatest Amateur Racing Event in the World!

 

Waste Management of New York, Inc. sponsors a Soap Box Derby car in the Stock Division. This exciting sport is a Youth Initiative of Nascar. The Stock Division is for racers age 8-13 years old. The Stock division is designed to give the first-time builder a learning experience. Stock cars can accommodate a racer up to (approximately) 5'3" tall and 125 pounds. The Stock car is a lean-forward design. The Stock car is built from kits purchased from the All-American.

 

What is Soap Box Derby?

 

The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program, which has run nationally since 1934. World Championship finals are held each August at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio. For more information, please visit the All-American Soap Box Derby website www.aasbd.com.
